Students urged to adopt research-oriented education

MANSEHRA: Hazara University Vice-Chancellor Dr Ikramullah Khan has urged students to adopt a research-oriented approach to education and utilise science and technology for the benefit of humanity.

“I am proud of you as you have been giving great importance to research in your education for the betterment of humanity in accordance with Islamic teachings,” he told the concluding session of a two-day workshop on “Manual Therapy Techniques.”

A large number of students from public and private-sector varsities across Hazara division attended the workshop, organised under the supervision of physiotherapy expert Dr Dileep Kumar.

The workshop aimed to provide practical and hands-on clinical training to students and professionals in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.Through various sessions held during the workshop, participants focused on surface anatomy, palpation techniques, and mobilisation and manipulation techniques.

“You should further expand such activities on a larger scale in the future to benefit and facilitate more students and institutions, as research is key to addressing all social and health issues being confronted by the people here and worldwide,” The vice-chancellor directed

heads of academic departments.

Dr Ikramullah also appreciated the dedicated efforts of Director Training Muhammad Sajjad, Deputy Director Training Dr Zeeshan Niaz, Dr Hasan Ali Khan, Dr Hamid Hussain and the Society of Physical Therapy for successfully organising such workshops.
