Pakistan conducts successful training fire of long-range Fatah-4 missile

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command on Thursday conducted a successful training fire of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile.

Equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, the Fatah-4 is capable of engaging long-range targets with high precision.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the training fire was carried out to enhance operational efficiency of troops and to validate the technical parameters of the missile’s sub-systems, which have been upgraded for improved accuracy and survivability.

The exercise was witnessed by senior officers from the Army Rocket Force Command, as well as scientists and engineers involved in the missile’s development.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff/ Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu commended the successful test. They praised the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of all personnel involved in the Fatah missile programme.
