Who is Pinky?

The News contacted a former senior police officer, SSP (retd) Niaz Ahmed Khosa, who was known for his investigations in high-profile cases. SSP Khosa while sharing details of Pinky, said the suspect did matriculation and was originally from Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Abul Hasan Isphahani Road. According Khosa, Pinky was born in Karachi in 1995 and is now 31 years old. Pinky lived with her three brothers — Nisar,

Riaz and Shaukat — and initially started drinking and using drugs herself. Due to excessive alcohol consumption, its effects gradually began to diminish, prompting her to mix a certain amount of cocaine with the alcohol to enhance its effect.

During this time, drug dealer Akram married Pinky, and she tested her drug formula on herself and started supplying drugs in the market. Drugs made with Pinky’s formula quickly became popular in the market. Pinky, with the help of her husband Rana Akram and her three brothers, ran this business for many years without coming to the notice of anti-narcotics, excise and police.

Former SSP Khosa said that in 2021, police arrested a drug delivery rider. Arrests of delivery riders continued until 2022.

He added that after the police arrested riders ten times in a year, Pinky decided to move to Lahore and establish her network there. Pinky said in her statement that working in Lahore is relatively easy than working in Karachi, Khosa said and added that Pinky lived in Khayaban-e-Zafar Society Round Road Lahore and continued to run her network successfully, but the Lahore police remained unaware. Khosa said Pinky was once arrested by a Lahore police officer, but this arrest ended with Pinky and the officer getting married. Pinky had been running a huge drug network in Lahore and Karachi since 2022, but surprisingly the LEAs of both provinces were unaware of that network.

Pinky’s latest arrest was made through coordination from the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan has been the joint director of the IB Sindh in Karachi for a long time, he got Pinky arrested through the IB itself, based on his previous information. This is similar to when the AVCC Karachi had raised its hands after keeping Armaghan as a guest for several days. Then, under pressure from social media and the public, then Sindh IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon handed over the accused Armaghan to the IB — so within three hours Armaghan broke and Mustafa Aamir’s body was recovered from Balochistan.
