KOHAT: A suicide attack was successfully foiled at the Khushal Garh Joint Check-post in the jurisdiction of Jand Police Station in Attock, a senior official said on Monday.District Police Officer (DPO) of Attock Sardar Moharran Khan told the media that police personnel on duty at the checkpoint noticed a suspicious man approaching the blockade in the evening.
“Acting swiftly, the officials challenged the suspect and adopted an effective tactical response, preventing him from reaching the main police deployment,” he added.The DPO said the attacker, unable to get closer to the police personnel, detonated himself at a distance.
