Islamabad: Islamabad Police recovered a 2-month-old girl, Fajar Noor, within four hours of her abduction from Bhara Kahu on.According to police, a woman known to the family as Maryam took the infant under the pretext of feeding her and then fled.
Police registered a case and launched a search using Safe City camera footage, technical data, and witness statements.The trail led to a taxi driver, Zaheer, and then to Murree. Police apprehended the suspect, identified as Aqsa Jameel, and recovered the child unharmed. The infant was handed back to her mother.
Police said the operation was carried out on the direction of senior officials with assistance from investigation teams and technical experts.
