PESHAWAR: The University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar successfully concluded the week-long Marka-e-Haq celebrations with active participation of students, faculty, and other stakeholders on Thursday.
The celebrations commenced on April 30, 2026. A Banner Drop Ceremony, along with a series of academic and creative competitions, including English and Urdu debates, AI-based content competitions, video competitions, and science model competitions, was arranged during the week.
Students from various institutions actively participated in the events and showcased their creativity, critical thinking, and innovative ideas. Hadi from Peshawar Model School (Science Model Making Competition), Saman Saqil from UET Abbottabad Campus (video competition), Naveed Ahmed from CECOS University, Peshawar (AI-Based Content Competition), Shumaim from Law College, Peshawar (poster competition), and Hassan Zaib Jadoon from UET Peshawar (English and Urdu speech competitions) secured first positions.
Prof Dr Sadiq Khattak, vice-chancellor of UET Peshawar, distributed shields among the winners and certificates to the participants in recognition of their efforts and performance. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the series of activities was aimed at promoting patriotism, critical thinking, and innovation among students by providing them with a dynamic platform to express ideas and demonstrate their talents. Prof Dr Sadiq Khattak urged students to exercise caution while relying on unverified news, as social and digital media platforms are often flooded with misleading or fake information.
