ISLAMABAD: A local court on Wednesday removed from active hearing two cases linked to the 2014 sit-in after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and co-accused, along with their lawyers, did not appear in court on multiple occasions.

During the proceedings, Civil Judge Shaista Kundi noted the continued absence of the PTI founder, other accused persons and their legal representatives, and ordered closure of both the cases. The cases were registered at the Secretariat police station under Section 144 of CrPC.
