KARAK: The residents foiled an attempt at infiltration by suspected militants in the Mardankhel area of Banda Daud Shah tehsil.
According to local sources, around 18 to 20 suspected militants tried to enter the village, but the residents immediately resisted and prevented them from entering, forcing them to retreat. The prompt local response thwarted a possible terror attempt and averted a major incident.
Following the incident, security in the area was tightened, and the police launched a search operation to completely clear the area. District Police Officer Karak, Imran Khan, said that the police were on high alert and closely monitoring the situation, while further measures are being taken to improve security in the area.
