ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) division bench on Wednesday suspended a single bench’s decision which ordered the regularisation of employees from Grade 1 to 15 of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and issued notices on an intra-court appeal filed by the agency.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar suspended the order passed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani on March 3, 2026, which had directed the regularisation of NCCIA employees.

The court issued notices on the intra-court appeal and sought responses from the parties concerned. The single bench had previously directed the federal government to notify the service rules for NCCIA within six months.

The single bench had also restrained authorities from taking any disciplinary action against NCCIA employees until the completion of the process. The case pertained to the regularisation of contract employees working in the agency’s cybercrime wing.
