RMU marks Marka-e-Haq

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) arranged a graceful event here on Wednesday to commemorate the success of military Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos against India conducted from April 22 to May 10, 2025.

The event, according to the RMU administration, was organised not only to commemorate and honour Pakistan's resilience and victory in the Indo-Pakistan War but also to reaffirm the importance of unity, peace, and national integrity. The organisers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces and its ability to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty.

To commemorate the day, Marka-e-Haq, a series of reflective activities were arranged at the university campus. The event was attended by a huge number of medical students and staff members of Rawalpindi Medical College and RMU apart from the faculty members.

Talking to the audience, Vice Chancellor of RMU Professor Dr. Muhammad Umar (SI) (HI) said that Marka-e-Haq is not only a success of a military operation but also it is a perfect quintessence of a nation’s unity and faith. He praised the armed forces of Pakistan, acknowledging their unwavering courage, professional expertise and selflessness in defending the nation.

He added that the youth should learn a lesson from Marka-e-Haq, which is the success of the whole nation. He emphasized the need for national unity, patriotism, professional excellence and honesty so that the youth can serve the nation in a better way in future. He advised the students to give due attention to their studies to build a strong, self-reliant Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal RMC Professor Dr. Muhammad Khurram said that unity, faith and discipline are the basic principles for success in hard times. Professor Umar said the event reflected RMU’s commitment to instilling values of patriotism, unity, and humanitarian service among its students.
