LAHORE:Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Prof Dr Farooq Afzal stated that the donation of endoscopic equipmentto the ENT department of Lahore General Hospital by the Society of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery (SORESS) marks a significant step towards integrating modern technology into the hospital's clinical framework.

During the briefing, Dr Amer Ayub, Head of ENT Unit I, and Dr Muhammad Ilyas, Head of ENT Unit II, explained that these instruments were donated by SORESS in recognition of the ENT department's professional excellence.

The ceremony was attended by LGH MS Prof Dr Faryad Hussain, alongside young doctors and healthcare professionals. Prof Dr Farooq Afzal highlighted that the availability of advanced endoscopic technology will substantially improve the standards of diagnosis and treatment. He stated that complex skull base surgeries can now be performed with higher precision, reduced patient discomfort, and greater safety. Prof Dr Farooq Afzal lauded the collaboration between educational institutions and medical societies.
