LAHORE:On the instructions of LDA DG Tahir Farooq, the LDA Town Planning Wing took action against illegal constructions, commercial buildings and fee defaulters’ properties and demolished several illegal constructions and sealed 181 properties.
LDA teams conducted operations on Raiwind Road, Defence Road, Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, Gujarpura, Shadman, Gulberg, Model Town, Gul Daman Scheme, College Road and Mustafa Town. They demolished illegal constructions at Bhubatian Chowk, Raiwind, an illegal extension of a private school near Raiwind Road for violating the approved plan. They sealed 15 properties on Defence Road and 83 on Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, Gujarpura and Shadman for illegal commercial use. Besides, 23 properties in Gulberg and Model Town, 30 properties in Gul Daman Scheme and College Road were sealed for illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees.
