Islamabad: Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate), F-7/2, proudly hosted its 45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony to honour the academic achievements of its graduating students across multiple disciplines.

The ceremony celebrated the dedication and hard work of graduates from BS programs in Psychology, Chemistry, Economics, and Islamic Studies. The event was graced by Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, as the chief guest.

Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, principal of the college, welcomed the chief guest and presented the college’s Performance Report. A total of 585 students have graduated to date, while 299 graduates were conferred degrees during the ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys.

A special highlight of the ceremony was the Dr. Azra Raza Award, presented to Huda Khalid (BS Chemistry) for achieving a perfect CGPA. She was also awarded a cash prize of Rs50,000. In addition, Service Awards were conferred upon 12 staff members who completed 25 years of dedicated service.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Wajiha Qamar congratulated the graduates and their families, and commended the college administration. She emphasised the critical importance of female education in national development and urged graduates to strive for excellence.

As a token of appreciation, the principal presented the college insignia to the chief guest. The convocation stood as a testament to the college’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the empowerment of young women through education.
