KHAR: At least nine people, including five police personnel, were injured in separate firing incidents targeting a police mobile and a rescue ambulance in Bajaur.
According to police sources, unidentified assailants opened fire on a police vehicle in the Rashkai area of Khar tehsil. As a result, five police officials were injured. In a subsequent incident, the attackers also opened fire on a rescue ambulance that had arrived to transport the injured. The firing left the driver and three civilians wounded.
Following the attacks, heavy contingents of police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. A police spokesperson confirmed that a total of nine people were wounded in the attack, including a rescue driver and three civilians.
