Rawalpindi:The District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi has imposed a temporary ban on all types of leave for staff engaged in dengue prevention and control activities in view of increasing larval detection and shortage of field personnel.

According to official orders issued by the Chief Executive Officer here Friday, the decision aims to ensure uninterrupted surveillance, monitoring and implementation of anti-dengue measures during the critical period. All officers and field staff have been directed to remain present at their assigned duties and strictly follow vector control protocols.

However, medical and other unavoidable emergency leave may be granted on a case-to-case basis subject to prior approval of the competent authority and submission of valid supporting documents.
