Army lift Inter-Departmental National Kabaddi title

ISLAMABAD: Army were crowned champions of the Inter-Departmental National Kabaddi Championship, defeating Pakistan Air Force 41-31 in a thrilling final.

The Championship, organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) in collaboration with divisional and district kabaddi associations in Faisalabad, featured eight teams from across the country, including Army, Pakistan Air Force, Police, WAPDA, Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah, Higher Education Commission and ASF.

Played in front of an energized crowd, the final witnessed a high-intensity contest between Army and Air Force. However, Army’s superior planning and execution, under the guidance of coaches Muhammad Salman Jutt, Faisal Qadeer and Muhammad Naseer, proved decisive as they sealed a convincing 41-31 victory..

In the third-place playoff, WAPDA defeated Higher Education Commission 39-21 to secure a podium finish. Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah witnessed the final and distributed prizes among the winning teams. He was accompanied by Secretary Army Fitness and Sports Directorate Colonel Nabeel Ahmed Rana and other officials, and also praised the high standard of the game.
