Mardan varsity students trained in CV writing, interview skills

MARDAN: A training session was organised for final semester students of Abdul Wali Khan University to train them in CV writing and interview skills.

The session titled “Interview Skills and CV Crafting” was held with the view to preparing students for the demands of practical life and employment.

This first session was organised by the University Advancement and Career Development Centre of the university for the eighth-semester students of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Students from economics, tourism, and hospitality, and the Institute of Business and Leadership participated in the training session.

The event was inaugurated by University Advancement and Career Development Centre Director Dr Muhammad Bilal. He said that graduates were ambassadors of the university in the market, so their professional preparation was very important.

Dr Sylvia from the Institute of Business and Leadership participated as a resource person.

She shed light on the essential principles during the interview and provided practical training to the students on how to give an effective interview.

In the CV writing session, Basim Javed taught the students how to prepare an effective CV. He guided them on the correct arrangement and presentation of different parts

of the CV and trained the students to present their personal, academic, and professional skills in a better way.

Practical exercises were conducted with the participants. This session is being described as an important step towards improving the professional skills of the students and making them successful in the practical field.
