LAHORE: Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department has completed all the arrangements for the Chief Minister Punjab national marathon and cycling race 2026, said to be the biggest marathon and cycling race in the country’s history.
More than 11,000 male and female athletes and citizens are expected to feature in the marathon and cycling race scheduled to start from Liberty Chowk, near Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday morning.
All necessary arrangements including medical treatment, security staff, provision of water and other key arrangements have also been made for the athletes.
Provincial Sports Minister Punjab Faisal Khokhar, SBP Vice-Chairman Malik Suleman, Secretary Sports Punjab M Ali, DG Sports Punjab M Tariq Qureshi and other top officials will be present on this occasion.
The 21-km marathon, cycling race, women’s 5km marathon and cycling race, 2km family fun race and 1km wheelchair race events will start at 6.00am.
