ISLAMABAD: Mikaeel Ali Baig delivered an outstanding performance, winning the boys’ singles and doubles title as the Subh-e-Nau ITF Pakistan Junior International Tennis Championship (Leg-II) concluded at the PTF Complex Courts on Friday.

In singles, he defeated Ganuka Fernando of Sri Lanka 6–1, 6–2, and then, pairing with Ahtesham, he beat Ganuka Fernando (Sri Lanka) and Jayden Park (Hong Kong) 6–1, 6–2.

A total of 22 boys and 19 girls from 15 countries, including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia, Russia, Poland, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Thailand, participated in the championship, showcasing a high standard of international junior tennis.

Results:

Boys singles final: Pakistan’s Mikaeel Ali Baig delivered an outstanding performance to defeat Ganuka Fernando of Sri Lanka 6–1, 6–2, clinching the championship title.

Boys doubles final: Mikaeel Ali Baig, partnering with Ahtesham of Pakistan, continued their dominant run by defeating Ganuka Fernando (Sri Lanka) and Jayden Park (Hong Kong) 6–1, 6–2 to secure the doubles title.

Girls singles final: Zhiyu Zhou of China defeated Varvara Rubtsova of Russia 6-2,6-1 and won the girls singles title.
