Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held two meetings at the Chief Minister House on Wednesday, focusing on national security, regional stability and international cooperation.
In his meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, both leaders discussed the prevailing law and order situation in the country as well as the ongoing tensions in the region. Matters of mutual interest and key security concerns also came under discussion.
The CM emphasised that national unity was indispensable in view of the current regional challenges. He noted that both political and military leadership were making concerted efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
Naqvi, for his part, reaffirmed that all necessary measures were being undertaken to maintain peace and stability across the country.
Separately, the CM received Salem Al-Hamdan, the consul general of Kuwait, on a farewell call. Shah appreciated his services for improving the Pakistan-Kuwait relations during his tenure.
The outgoing envoy expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by the Sindh government. Both sides exchanged views on the regional situation, law and order, and the importance of lasting peace. The Kuwaiti consul general praised Pakistan’s efforts for promoting peace in the region.
The CM reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening Pakistan–Kuwait relations and highlighted the potential for enhanced bilateral cooperation and investment between Sindh and Kuwait.
Discussions also focused on exploring new avenues for Kuwaiti investment in the province
