ISLAMABAD: A local court on Monday granted an exemption from personal appearance to former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the audio-leak case and adjourned proceedings until April 21.
The hearing was conducted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch, who approved Gandapur’s request to be excused from attending the session. Owing to his absence, the court was unable to record statements of prosecution witnesses.
The judge subsequently directed the prosecution witnesses to appear again at the next hearing. During the previous hearing, Gandapur had been formally indicted in the case. The matter stems from a case registered against him at Golra Police Station.
