KARACHI: Pakistan Sports Board has directed all affiliated National Sports Federations to submit their Long Term Athlete Development Programs (LTADP) within a period of 90 days as financial assistance and facilitation of participation in mega sports events through POA is linked with the effective implementation of LTADP.
According to the notification issued by PSB after its 36th Board Meeting held on March 31, all the NSFs are requested to submit their proposed plans within 90 days to PSB for placement before the Joint Monitoring Committee.
“After finalization [by the Monitoring Committee], the LTADPs shall be implemented by the NSFs and monitored by the Committee. Non-compliance may result in rationalization or withholding of financial support, and review of priority for participation in international mega sports events, including the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, and South Asian Games, through the POA,” stated the notification.
The PSB further decided that PSB shall organize a workshop of NSFs for preparation and implementation of LTADP frameworks. It is to be noted that the PSB in its board meeting has approved the LTADP for all Olympic sports NSFs, with a focus on maximizing qualification and podium performance in the 2032 Olympic Games. Similarly, the LTADP has also been introduced for Non-Olympic sports NSFs, with emphasis on achieving qualification and podium finishes in respective World Championships.
