ISLAMABAD: The prices of gold witnessed a significant increase on Tuesday with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs2,800 to reach Rs478,762 as compared to Rs475,962 on the previous day.
According to the association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs2,401 to Rs410,461 from Rs408,060, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs2,201 to Rs376,269 from Rs374,068, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association on Tuesday.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $28 to $4,560 from $4,532, the association reported.Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 260 to Rs 7,784 from Rs 7,524, while that of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs223 to Rs6,673 from Rs6,450. The price of silver in the international market also increased by $2.6 to $73 from $70.4.
