Rawalpindi : The administrations of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have decided to adopt a coordinated strategy to prevent dengue and polio, with authorities reviewing preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign scheduled from April 13 to 16.
The decision was taken at a meeting held here on Saturday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema and attended by officials from both cities.
During the briefing, officials presented details of pre-campaign activities and ongoing field operations aimed at ensuring full coverage during the polio drive.
The deputy commissioner directed authorities to accelerate indoor and outdoor dengue surveillance and ensure that no area remained uncovered, stressing the need for effective door-to-door outreach.
