ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for his continued non-appearance despite being summoned in a case of making misleading allegations against state institutions and damaging their reputation.
The court ordered his arrest and production and adjourned the hearing till April 9. The NCCIA has registered a case against Sohail under the Peca Act.
In another case, Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar dismissed a bail application of TikToker Fazeela Abbasi for her continuous non-appearance. In a written order issued on Thursday, the court said Fazeela Abbasi’s application for exemption on medical grounds is also rejected. The petitioners are deliberately taking wrong advantage of the pre-arrest bail exemption.
Fazeela Abbasi’s application has been pending since January 13, 2026. The Islamabad High Court has not issued any stay order in this case. The application was granted due to the stay order in another case.
