Islamabad:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested two wanted members of criminal gangs involved in bike lifting and snatching incidents and recovered stolen motorcycles, valuables and weapons from their possession.
An official told APP on Thursday that police teams from Shams Colony and Tarnol police stations, using technical and human resources, successfully apprehended the accused during targeted operations.
He said the suspects were members of notorious gangs involved in multiple incidents of motorcycle theft and street crime across the city. He said the police recovered three stolen motorbikes, mobile phones and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Cases have already been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that strict action was being taken against those involved in motorcycle theft and street robbery in the federal capital.
