Senator Sherry Rehman’s daughter passes away after brain haemorrhage

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman’s daughter Marvi Malik passed away in Karachi, the PPP Secretariat said on Sunday.

The PPP Secretariat shared that Marvi had suffered a brain haemorrhage a few days ago.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family, praying that Allah grants strength and patience to them to bear the loss.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also expressed profound sorrow and grief over the death of Senator Sherry Rehman’s daughter. The prime minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Senator Sherry Rehman and her family over the tragic loss. “The loss of a child is beyond words,” the prime minister said, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family in this difficult time. He prayed for the departed soul’s elevated ranks in the hereafter and for patience and strength for the grieving family. “In this hour of grief, we stand with the mourning family in their sorrow,” the prime minister said.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, PPP leader Shazia Marri, Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also offered condolences.

According to the family, the funeral prayers of Marvi Khurshid Malik will be offered in DHA Phase 8, Karachi, at 3:30pm on Monday.
