QUETTA: Ziaullah Langove of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) took the oath of office as a provincial minister and was assigned the portfolio of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department of Balochistan.
The oath-taking ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Governor House in Quetta, where Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel administered the oath to BAP assembly member Ziaullah Langove. The ceremony was attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, provincial ministers Asim Kurd Gello, Haji Ali Madad Jattak, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Raheela Hamid Khan Durrani, Senator Dinesh Kumar, IG Police Balochistan Mohammad Tahir, secretaries, and other officials.
Meanwhile, in accordance with Rule 5 of the Balochistan Government Rules of Business, Chief Minister Bugti formally assigned the Home Department portfolio to Ziaullah Langove. The Governor of Balochistan has also issued an official notification confirming the assignment.
It is worth noting that Ziaullah Langove, elected from PB-36 Qalat, had been de-notified on August 21, 2024. Since then, the post of Balochistan Home Minister had remained vacant, and the department had been under the charge of the Chief Minister.
