LAHORE:Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr Ehsan Bhutta has said that the ongoing development works at the shrine of Ali Hijveri (Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh RA) are being carried out to enhance facilities for devotees and to improve the infrastructure of the historic shrine. He said the government is committed to completing the development projects at Data Darbar in a timely and efficient manner.
He expressed these views while addressing a review meeting held to assess the progress of the ongoing development work at the shrine.The meeting was attended by Auqaf Religious Affairs DG Shahid Hassan Kalyani, Director Project Rafique Noor Wattoo, Nespak GM Muhammad Adil, Tepa Project Director Muhammad Asad, Tepa Deputy Director Ali Sumair, Superintending Engineer C&W Department Punjab Issa Bin Moeen, XEN C&W M Fahad, Khateeb Data Darbar Masjid Maulana Ramzan Sialvi, Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, SDO Data Darbar M Qaiser and other officialsconcerned.
Dr Ehsan Bhutta said that the development project is being carried out in line with the CM’s vision, aimed at providing modern facilities to devotees and improving the overall environment and accessibility of the shrine area.
Referring to the briefing given by the Tepa Project Director, Dr Ehsan Bhutta said that the drain underpassside has been completed while PCC work in the available area has also been completed except the road lane portion.
He said that the underpass bed, walls and roof slab deck have been completed and the grey structure is almost finished except for the remaining work on the stairs.Dr Ehsan Bhutta directed the departments concernedto ensure timely completion of all development works so that better facilities can be provided to the devotees visiting the shrine.
