Jazz invests Rs58.7bn, posts strong 4Q growth

KARACHI: Jazz invested Rs58.7 billion during FY25 to expand network capacity and strengthen its digital platforms as it accelerates its transformation into an integrated digital service company under the JazzWorld umbrella.

The company said the investment focused on improving connectivity, scaling digital services and embedding artificial intelligence across customer journeys as part of its AI1440 strategy aimed at serving more than 100 million users in Pakistan.

Financial results showed strong growth in the final quarter of the year. Revenue in the fourth quarter rose 24.5 per cent year-on-year, while full-year revenue increased 18.6 per cent, supported by greater adoption of bundled offers and the rising contribution of digital platforms.

Revenue from telecom and infrastructure services climbed 17.7 per cent year-on-year (YoY), driven by a 3.3 per cent rise in mobile subscribers and a 21.3 per cent increase in average revenue per user (ARPU). The company said repricing measures, improved prepaid monetisation and demand for bundled connectivity and digital services supported the growth.

Digital businesses expanded rapidly, with digital revenue rising 43.7 per cent YoY in the fourth quarter and contributing 30.2 per cent to total revenue, up from 26.1 per cent a year earlier. The company’s fintech platform JazzCash surpassed 58 million customers, while its gross transaction value crossed Rs15 trillion in 2025.

Meanwhile, Mobilink Microfinance Bank continued to expand inclusive financial services, including Islamic banking products for underserved segments.Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 50.6 per cent year-on-year in the fourth quarter, with margins improving to 45.7 per cent. For the full year, EBITDA increased 23.2 per cent. Capital expenditure reached Rs20.8 billion in the fourth quarter.

During the year, Jazz also strengthened its network capacity by acquiring 190 MHz of spectrum in Pakistan’s latest auction for $239.5 million to support the future rollout of next-generation connectivity.

Jazz ended the quarter with 73.9 million subscribers, including 55.5 million 4G users. The company’s digital platforms also recorded strong engagement, with Tamasha reaching 17.5 million monthly active users, SIMOSA 24.1 million users, FikrFree over 11.2 million policyholders, and ROX 1.5 million monthly active users.
