KARACHI: Two vessels of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) are on schedule to reach their destinations today, and no ships are currently stranded at the Strait of Hormuz, a PNSC spokesperson said on Thursday.
The spokesperson’s statement came in response to media reports suggesting that PNSC vessels were facing delays in the strategic waterway. “Two vessels of PNSC are on the way to reach [on Friday]. No vessel is stuck,” the official said, dismissing concerns about maritime disruptions.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs did not immediately respond.According to earlier reports, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs had contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the safe passage of Pakistani vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial chokepoint for global oil and shipping traffic.PNSC operates a fleet serving regional and international routes, and the Strait of Hormuz remains a key transit point for global trade.
