A man died after two motorcycles collided in the Kahna Nau area of Nishtar Colony.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred when two motorcycles collided, resulting in the death of one rider on the spot. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old M Asif. Police said the other motorcyclist involved in the accident fled the scene. Police initiated an investigation into the incident.
Snatched vehicle recovered; two held
Motorway Police recovered a snatched vehicle and arrested two suspects during a patrol operation near Khanqah Dogran on the M-2 Motorway.
According to a spokesperson for the Central Region of the National Highways and Motorway Police, personnel from the M-2 South zone stopped a suspicious vehicle during routine patrolling. During the search, officers found 11 animals loaded in the vehicle in an unsafe manner. When the driver was asked to present documents for the vehicle and the livestock, he failed to produce any relevant papers. During initial interrogation, the suspects confessed that the vehicle was snatched from Jhelum.
Officials said a case had already been registered against the suspects in Jhelum under Section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code related to robbery. The Motorway Police handed over the recovered vehicle, the 11 animals and the arrested suspects to Jhelum police.
3 bike thieves held
Shafiqabad police have arrested three members of an active gang involved in stealing bikes and motorcycle rickshaws in different parts of the City. According to SP City, the suspects were arrested during an operation. The arrested suspects were identified as Irfan alias Fani, Nauman alias Chand Tunda and Faizan. Cases were registered against them.
