Pakistan has been humiliated on the cricket field once again. Our highly paid national squad failed to reach the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. This repeated underperformance in major tournaments raises serious questions about accountability within the PCB. The board to turning into a white elephant, consuming huge resources while cricket continues to bring embarrassment rather than pride.
Our media – particularly electronic media – also shares the blame. Before every major match, especially against arch-rivals India, television channels create unrealistic hype around our players, portraying them as invincible heroes. The reality on the field, unfortunately, tells a very different story.
