Islamabad:The 30th death anniversary of renowned novelist and journalist Naseem Hijazi will be observed today (Monday), with devotion and respect.
Observers said Hijazi was not only a distinguished journalist and literary figure but also played a significant role through his journalism in advocating for the accession of Balochistan to Pakistan.
It is widely acknowledged in various circles that he dedicated his energies and abilities to strengthening the cause of Balochistan’s integration with the country. Several tribal elders in Balochistan have credited his efforts as instrumental in shaping public opinion during that critical period.
He is regarded as one of the most prominent Urdu historical novelists who introduced a new dimension to historical fiction. Over the course of his literary career, he authored 27 novels. Among his most celebrated works are Dastan-e-Mujahid, Khak aur Khoon, Shaheen, Aakhri Chattan, and Yousaf Bin Tashfeen. These works played a vital role in creating awareness among the younger generation about Islamic history and civilization.
