LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that 27 women’s players will undergo a week-long skills training camp at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, from 7 to 14 March.

The camp is part of preparations for a packed calendar, including the upcoming National Women’s T20 Tournament, a home series against Zimbabwe women, an away T20I tri-series in Ireland, and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England.

The players will train under the supervision of the current senior women’s team coaches, led by team mentor Wahab Riaz. The program will focus on skill enhancement, fitness drills, scenario-based training, and practice matches to sharpen the squad for upcoming challenges.

Pakistan’s ODI squad, currently engaged in a three-match series in South Africa, will return home on 2 March and join the camp thereafter.

This initiative reflects PCB’s commitment to strengthening women’s cricket, ensuring players are well-prepared for both domestic and international competitions in what promises to be a crucial year for the team.
