Punjab okays Rs417m for renovation, construction of police residences

LAHORE:The government of Punjab has accorded revised administrative approval amounting to Rs417.857 million for the scheme titled “Addition/Alteration and Missing Facilities in Police Official Residences” across the province.

According to an official notification issued by the Police Department Punjab on January 13, 2026, the approval was granted by the Provincial Police Officer/Inspector General of Police under Article 11(5) of the Police Order 2002 and relevant financial delegation rules. The total approved cost of the scheme stands at Rs417.857 million under the development head for government buildings for the financial year 2025-26.

The scheme covers 120 sub-projects involving construction, renovation, addition, alteration, provision of missing facilities, and maintenance of police residences and related infrastructure in multiple districts. It includes Rs29.060 million — IGP House, 24-Aikman GOR-I, Lahore, Rs27.594 million — Reconstruction, addition and alteration of City Police Officer House, Multan, Rs22.000 million — Provision of 1000-kg passenger lift at Qurban Lines Flats, Lahore, Rs19.102 million — Construction/rehabilitation of four official family residences (BS-11 to 14) at CTD Police Station Faisalabad, Rs15.000 million — Police official residence at Police College Sihala, Rawalpindi, Rs15.000 million — Addition/alteration of official residence (Grade-20 and above) at Lahore, Rs14.999 million — Missing facilities in police residences in front of PPIC-3, Qurban Lines Lahore, Rs14.977 million — Works at SOU Constable barracks, EPF Bedian Road Lahore, Rs14.964 million — ASP (Trainees) accommodation/barracks at EPF Bedian Road Lahore, Rs14.961 million — Washroom facilities for ASP (Trainees) accommodation at EPF Bedian Road Lahore, Rs14.765 million — Missing facilities at residences (BPS 1-10) at Bhobattian Chowk, Raiwind Road Lahore, Rs14.257 million — Works at CPO residence Faisalabad, Rs13.000 million — New tube-well boring/chamber at Police Officer Residences, Qurban Lines Lahore, Rs10.138 million — Old family residences of CTD Chung Lahore, Rs8.500 million — 16 servant quarters at PTC Chung (Lower Colony), Rs7.500 million — Residence No. 3, Mall Road side, Qurban Lines Lahore, Rs7.000 million — Police official residences (DPO/SP/DSP houses and BS-1 to 14 quarters) at Bahawalpur, Rs6.944 million — Residence of SP/Special Branch Rawalpindi, Rs5.900 million — Boundary wall with razor wire at DPO House, Sahiwal, Rs5.817 million — Tuff paver in front of mosque at Police Officer Residences, Qurban Lines, Rs5.791 million — Residence at IGP House GOR-I Lahore, Rs4.822 million — Residence at CCPO Office Lahore (RPO SKP), Rs4.704 million — House near Sherpao Bridge, Qurban Lines Lahore, Rs4.500 million — DPO House and residential quarters at PS Bhowana, District Chiniot, Rs4.000 million — Police residences at DPO House Bahawalnagar, Rs4.000 million — House at Mian Mir Bridge side, Qurban Lines Lahore, Rs3.000 million — DIG Welfare residence, Mughalpura Lahore, Rs3.000 million — DIG residence Golf View Lane Qurban Lines, Rs2.955 million — Boundary wall around PTS Staff Colony Sargodha, Rs2.800 million — Residences at DPO House/Complex Okara, Rs2.774 million — Police Colony Mughalpura residence (Shalimar Link Road) and Rs2.743 million — Maintenance of House No.7, Police Officer Colony Tufail Road.

The approval also includes renovation and maintenance of residences and quarters in districts including Lahore, Jhang, Chiniot, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Layyah, Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sahiwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Rajanpur and others.

In addition, works such as external sewerage, boundary walls, water supply lines, gas and electricity connections, mosque maintenance, servant quarters, and rehabilitation of existing police colonies have been included.
