LAHORE: Large-scale transfers and postings have been carried out in the Punjab Police following orders issued by the newly appointed Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Abdul Karim.
Khurram Shakoor, Additional IG Training, will hold the additional charge of Additional IG Right Management Police. Usman Akram Gondal has been appointed Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan. Captain (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has been posted as Commandant, Police Training College, Lahore. Mehboob Aslam has been appointed DIG Elite Police Force Punjab, Faisal Ali Raja DIG Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Punjab. He will also hold the additional charge of Additional IG PHP. Kamran Adil has been appointed DIG Telecommunication and Transport Punjab and will additionally hold the charge of DIG Technical Procurement.
In addition, several District Police Officers (DPOs), Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and other officers have been reassigned. According to the notification, Dr Asad Ejaz Malhi has been appointed DPO Okara, Captain (retd) Dost Muhammad posted as DPO Sialkot, Sajid Hussain Khokhar appointed DPO Jhang, Arsalan Zahid posted DPO Nankana Sahib, Muhammad Waqar Azim appointed DPO Mianwali, Muhammad Abid posted as DPO Khanewal, Akhlaq Ullah appointed Tarrar as DPO Toba Tek Singh and Shafiq Ahmad Chaudhry posted as DPO Jhelum.
Muhammad Tariq Aziz has been appointed SSP Special Branch, Lahore Region, while Syed Imran Karamat Bukhari has been posted as SP Intelligence, Special Branch Punjab. Farooq Sultan has been appointed AIG Administration and Security, Central Police Office (CPO) Punjab, and Ismail ur Rehman has been posted as AIG Complaints, CPO Punjab. Ahmad Mohiuddin has been directed to report to the Central Police Office Punjab. Muhammad Rashid has been appointed SSP Intelligence, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab.
Captain (retd) Muhammad Ajmal has been posted as AIG Operations South Punjab, and Fraz Ahmad as AIG Research and Development, CPO Punjab. Faisal Shahzad and Ibadat Nisar have also been directed to report to the Central Police Office Punjab. Captain (retd) Bilal Iftikhar has been appointed SSP Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Gujranwala, while Abdul Wahab has been posted as SSP Investigation and Inspection, CCD Punjab. Wasim Akhtar has been appointed Chief Traffic Officer Gujranwala. Ayesha Butt has been posted as SP Headquarters, Elite Police Force Punjab. Farooq Ahmad Anwar has been appointed SP RIB Sahiwal Region, and Mehmood Haroon as SP Internal Accountability Branch Sahiwal Region.
