Islamabad : An atmosphere of colour, creativity, and youthful enthusiasm filled the premises of the FG Institute of Home Economics Art and Design F-11/1 as the institute hosted a vibrant intercollegiate competition, bringing together talented students from various colleges for a celebration of art, fashion, media, and culinary excellence.
The dress show competition was organized in two captivating categories: Frosty Elegance and Celebrations Couture, each reflecting a unique blend of imagination, craftsmanship, and style.
In Frosty Elegance, participants presented winter-inspired designs embodying grace and sophistication. Students showcased their own creations, including velvet evening gowns in icy blues, silvers, and whites, sequined cocktail dresses with a winter wonderland vibe, long-sleeved high-neck dresses adorned with intricate lace and embroidery, and floor-length gowns with subtle sparkle and shine.
The second category, Celebrations Couture, highlighted vibrant and culturally rich outfits inspired by global festivals and traditional celebrations.
The themes included Noroz, Cherry Blossom, Chilam Joshi, Da Guloona, Día de los Muertos, and Basant. Participants beautifully translated these festive inspirations into colourful and expressive ensembles that reflected cultural diversity and artistic creativity.
The Videography Competition revolved around the theme “The Ad-Makers Contest,” encouraging students to demonstrate their storytelling and technical skills, while the Culinary Art Competition was organized under the theme “Seed Power Delight,” promoting innovation in healthy and creative cooking. Renowned designer Nosheen Sharaf graced the occasion as chief guest.
