Wah:Wah Medical College, in collaboration with the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) and the University of Health Sciences (UHS), hosted a joint convocation ceremony, conferring degrees upon the graduates of the MBBS Session 2021-2025 and Generic BSN Sessions 2016-2021, says a press release.
Lt Gen (r) Wasim Alamgir, HI(M), Vice Chancellor of NUMS, graced the occasion as the chief guest and Maj Gen Muhammad Kashif Azad HI(M), DGC, POF was the guest of honour. The chief guest conferred degrees upon the graduating doctors and nurses. In his address, He entrusted them with the noble responsibility of serving humanity with compassion, ethical integrity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care.
Prof Dr Samina Kausar, Head of the Department of Nursing at the University of Health Sciences, also addressed the gathering and acknowledged the graduating nurses as the future of Pakistan’s healthcare system.
Maj Gen (r) Abdul Khaliq Naveed, HI(M), Principal and CEO of Wah Medical College, presented the institution’s annual report, highlighting key milestones in academic excellence.In recognition of exceptional academic and extracurricular performance, several graduates were honored during the ceremony:Dr. Komal Babar received the Best Graduate Award, a gold medal, and a cash prize of Rs300,000 for securing the highest aggregate marks.
