Pakistan’s loss to India in the group stage of the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup was quite embarrassing. This is due both to the shambolic performance of the team and the off-field issues that preceded the match with Pakistan threatening to boycott the fixture.
To reverse course on a principled stand only to lose in this manner is quite humiliating. Extreme focus on performance and unbiased team selection is the need of the hour.
