LAHORE : The governing body of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), in its meeting on Friday, declared four more roads for commercialisation in the provincial capital.
The roads included College Road (Ghazi Chowk to UET Roundabout), Defence Road (Bhubtian Chowk to Kahna), GT Road (Quaid-i-Azam Interchange to BRB Canal) and Barki Road (Ring Road to BRB Canal) while commercialisation of Sabzazar Road (Liaquat Chowk to Multan Road) and Samanabad LOS Road were postponed.
LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed chaired the meeting in which LDA DG Tahir Farooq briefed about the agenda.
Amendments to the LDA Rules were approved as per the housing sector reforms approved by the provincial cabinet and the proposals of the cabinet sub-committee. The LDA Governing Body recommended conditional permission to complete the Master Plan 2050 as per the court orders.
Replanning of the site of the sewage treatment plant in LDA City was also recommended.
The meeting also approved the agenda of the Directorate of Sales and Allotment and remodeling of LDA Avenue One, Civic Centre; the start of executive transfer service in LDA City for the convenience of citizens and plot transfer facility will be provided in LDA City like other LDA schemes.
