LAHORE : Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Abdul Kareem Friday ordered enhanced security across the province, including Lahore.
He directed strict security arrangements at mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, markets and other sensitive locations, and called for increased patrolling around worship places, business centres and main roads. The IGP said maintaining law and order and safeguarding lives and property were the force’s top priorities, instructing DPOs and senior officers to remain in the field and personally oversee arrangements.
