ent locally. She said the new medical college would enable local students to pursue medical education without leaving the district, while the proposed law and agricultural colleges would expand educational opportunities and support local farmers.
She stressed that her government was committed to ensuring equal development across Punjab and said residents would no longer need to travel elsewhere for their rights and basic services.
She highlighted agricultural support measures, including distribution of tractors and machinery, and social welfare initiatives such as ration cards and financial assistance programmes. She expressed confidence that continued efforts over the coming years would transform Punjab’s future and bring sustained development and prosperity to Mianwali and the entire province.
For the first time in Punjab’s history, a dedicated portal has been established to enable citizens -- particularly youths -- to directly share their ideas with the chief minister. Maryam has digitally launched the Talk to CM portal, a unique platform designed to facilitate direct communication and feedback. Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb briefed the CM about the portal, stating that separate sections and interfaces have been created for youths aged 20 years and above. Through this portal, young people from across the province will be able to share their ideas, suggestions and feedback regarding government programs and development projects.
Also, Pakistan’s first government-run Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism has been established in Lahore. Maryam inaugurated the facility and visited its various sections and classrooms. During the visit, she toured all departments of the centre, including the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Classroom for young autistic children. She reviewed the pre-vocational training room and computer facilities set up for autistic students for the first time.
Maryam said the autism centre was not just an institution but the realization of a dream for countless children and their families. She highlighted that more than 20,000 special children across Punjab have received treatment and surgeries to help restore normal life.
