RAWALPINDI: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has once again issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for PTI founder’s sister Aleema Khanum in connection with a case registered at the Sadiqabad police station over the November 26 protest by the party.

The warrant was reissued after Aleema Khanum and her legal counsel failed to appear before the court during the previous hearing. Special prosecutor Zaheer Shah was present in court and pressed for strict action, maintaining that the absence of the accused was unjustified. The court observed that no valid explanation or legal exemption had been presented for her non-appearance.

During the proceedings, the court accepted the prosecution’s request to include Salman Niaz of the National Cyber Crime Investigation (NCCI) as a witness in the case. Following thee developments, the court adjourned the hearing until today (Wednesday) for further proceedings.
