ISLAMABAD: The government has appointed a young Hindu lady doctor in the Parliament House for taking care of health requirements of the members of national legislatures.
Dr Komal Lalwani belongs to interior Sindh and did her medicine degree from a medical college of interior Sindh. She has assumed the assignment replacing Dr Meena Mehak. Dr Meena has been transferred to Karachi since she was promoted and took charge in a city hospital. Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal belongs to Sindh urban and posting of a lady doctor belonging to the minorities from rural Sindh is being hailed in parliament. Sources told The News Wednesday that for the Parliament House, doctors are taken from the Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH), Islamabad, and the criteria is that the doctor should be competent.
