Islamabad:Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing (JI Youth) organised a ‘Meena Bazaar’ on Sunday at Qazi Farms in Margalla Town.
The event was aimed to provide young women with a platform to showcase their creative and entrepreneurial skills and to promote their economic empowerment. The chief guest of the event will be Qudsia Namoos, Nazima of Halqa Khawateen Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad, while the guest of honor was Nasrullah Randhawa, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad.
The Meena Bazaar will feature competitions in calligraphy, painting, drawing, stand-up comedy, henna art, reels, photography, speech, and poster making. Special arrangements, including swings and various game competitions, will also be made for children’s entertainment.
In addition, hardworking and entrepreneur women running home-based businesses were provided with an effective platform to showcase and promote their products under one roof. According to the spokesperson, the main objective of this initiative is to highlight women’s hidden talents and provide them with dignified livelihood opportunities, enabling them to play a positive role in the national economy.
