Route finalised for Marathon City Run 2026

Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi on Saturday chaired a meeting on the Marathon City Run 2026, which will take place on January 25.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements and finalised the route for the coming marathon.

It was decided that the race would start at 7am from the Tower, proceed via Neti Jetti Bridge, MT Khan Road, Mai Kolachi, Boat Basin, Clifton Bridge, Marriott Hotel and Metropole Hotel signal to Club Road, ending in front of the Commissioner’s Office.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner-II Asad Khoso, Assistant Commissioner General Hazim Bhangwar, technical adviser Syed Goher Ali and Sports Director Ghulam Muhammad Khan. District South Deputy Commissioner Javed Nabi Khoso participated in the meeting via video link.

The registration for the marathon is under way via a dedicated web link with 3,850 participants registered so far, including 850 women and 150 persons above 50 years old.

A registration desk has also been set up at the Commissioner’s Office.

The commissioner directed that the route be decorated and parking arrangements made at the Pakistan Railways Ground, Commerce College, Movenpick and Pearl Continental.

The commissioner said the marathon was an important event of the city and it would help promote health activities in the city.

It was decided in the meeting that a prize distribution ceremony would be held on Club Road to distribute prizes among the winners. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah would attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

Senior officials, sports and showbiz personalities, and diplomatic representatives are being invited to attend the ceremony.
