LAHORE: Decomposed body of a one-and-a-half-year old boy, who was reportedly abducted three weeks ago, was recovered from a drain in Mahmood Booti Chowk area of Madina Town.
Rescue officials said they received a call regarding a child’s body spotted floating in a drain. A divers’ team was dispatched to the site who retrieved the body, which was later handed over to the police.
Police identified the deceased as Amir Hussain, a resident of the Baghbanpura area. According to police records, the child had gone missing 19 days ago and an abduction case was registered at Baghbanpura police station. Body was shifted to morgue.
