LAHORE: A nine-member Special Medical Board constituted by Principal Ameer-ud-Din Medical College Prof Dr Farooq Afzal has declared university student Fatima, who was under treatment at Lahore General Hospital (LGH), fit for surgery.

Following the board’s decision, she has been shifted to the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) for advanced medical care.

Prof Dr Farooq Afzal stated that the fundamental mission of LGH is the protection of human life. He highlighted that senior specialist doctors, along with nursing and paramedical staff, treated Fatima with exceptional professional dedication and round-the-clock care, enabling her to reach a stage where surgery is now possible.
