ISLAMABAD: A meeting of administrators and deputy administrators of the Evacuee Trust Property Board was held at the board’s head office on Friday under the chairmanship of ETPB Chairman Qamar Zaman to review key administrative and financial matters.
The chairman directed administrators to initiate immediate and effective legal action against land grabbers. He also ordered strict departmental and legal proceedings against any government or private individuals found facilitating illegal encroachments. Stressing accountability, the chairman instructed all administrators to personally and closely monitor matters within their respective jurisdictions, warning that no negligence or delay would be tolerated. He stressed that all available resources and institutional capacity must be utilised to achieve assigned targets and significantly improve overall performance.
The chairman reiterated that transparency, accountability, and discipline were the top priorities of the Evacuee Trust Property Board, and all officers would be required to complete assigned objectives within stipulated timelines.
The meeting conducted a detailed assessment of trust property lease money and rent recovery, clearance of outstanding dues, progress on assessment and re-assessment, development of evacuee trust properties and land, auctioning of non-leased plots, geo-tagging, and overall office discipline.
Secretary Board Farid Iqbal, Additional Secretary Shrines Nasir Mushtaq, Additional Secretary Administration Sanaullah Khan, Controller of Accounts Adil Ahmed, along with administrators and deputy administrators from seven districts and other senior officials of the board, attended the meeting.
